We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Technician to join
our IT department and provide technical support to our organization's employees. As an IT
Technician, you will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, setting up and
configuring workstations, and assisting with network troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should
possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-oriented
mindset to deliver efficient and effective IT solutions to our staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, both in person and
remotely, for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Set up and configure workstations, laptops, printers, and other computer peripherals for new
employees or system upgrades.
- Install, update, and maintain software applications, including operating systems, productivity
tools, and specialized software used within the organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems, such as malfunctioning components, connectivity
issues, and peripheral failures.
- Assist with network troubleshooting, including connectivity, IP configurations, and basic
network device configurations.
- Respond to IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner, ensuring all incidents and
resolutions are accurately documented.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain IT security measures, such as antivirus
software, security patches, and access controls.
Preferred Skills::
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent,
demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Familiarity with Active Directory administration, user management, and group policy settings
- Knowledge of cloud-based services and platforms, such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or
other cloud productivity suites.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or
equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience working as an IT Technician or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems, and common software
applications.
- Familiarity with network basics, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with Windows and macOS environments, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and
other productivity tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
effectively.
- Customer-focused approach with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality IT support.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or
equivalent certifications are a plus.
