and implement data management strategies. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in
data management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead data-related initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the proper
handling and storage of data.
- Oversee the collection, organization, and integration of data from various sources to maintain a
comprehensive and accurate data repository.
- Establish data quality standards and implement data cleansing processes to enhance data accuracy
and reliability.
- Monitor data security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations and
privacy policies.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to design and implement data storage and retrieval
solutions that support business objectives.
- Manage data access controls, permissions, and user roles to maintain data security and
confidentiality.
- Create and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and metadata, to facilitate
data understanding and usage across the organization.
- Conduct regular data audits to identify data inconsistencies and anomalies, and take corrective
actions as necessary.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data modeling, data mapping, and data integration processes.
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI) is
advantageous.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to convey data-related concepts and collaborate
with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Data Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of managing data
management initiatives and activities.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, and data quality practices.
- Familiarity with data security best practices, data protection regulations, and privacy policies
(e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Proficiency in data management tools, databases, and data warehousing concepts.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve data management goals.
- Monitor data backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure data availability in case of
system failures or disasters.
