We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Technician to join our dynamic IT team. Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other network segments to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively implement necessary adjustments to enhance network efficiency and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, both hardware and software-related, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network requirements for various IT projects and initiatives.
• Perform routine network equipment maintenance and upgrades, including routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring they are running with the latest firmware and security patches.
• Implement and manage network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems to safeguard against potential security breaches.
• Monitor network usage and data traffic to identify and address potential capacity and performance concerns.

• Assist in creating and maintaining network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in networking to propose and implement innovative solutions to improve network performance and security.
• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience working as a Network Technician or in a similar networking role.
• Solid understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Hands-on experience with network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points from leading vendors.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and network performance analysis.
• Knowledge of network security practices and techniques, including firewall configurations and VPN setup.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot network issues effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
