We are seeking a skilled and proactive Telecommunications
Specialist to join our team. As a Telecommunications Specialist, you will be responsible for
managing our organization's telecommunications infrastructure and services. You will work closely
with various departments to ensure seamless communication through phone systems, VoIP, video
conferencing, and other communication tools. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical
background in telecommunications, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver
reliable communication solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the organization's telecommunications infrastructure, including phone
systems, VoIP, and video conferencing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve telecommunications issues, both hardware and software-related, to
ensure continuous communication capabilities.
- Coordinate the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment and
software.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts, upgrades, and support
agreements for telecommunications services.
- Conduct regular assessments of the telecommunications network to identify areas for improvement
and implement necessary upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with telecommunications regulations and security standards to protect
sensitive information and maintain data privacy.
- Provide end-user support and training on telecommunications systems and tools to enhance user
productivity and efficiency.
Preferred Skills::
- Experience in managing telecommunications projects from inception to completion, ensuring
on-time delivery and successful implementation.
- Knowledge of telecommunications regulations and compliance standards, such as FCC and data
privacy regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet
project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant
work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Proven experience as a Telecommunications Specialist or in a similar role, with a track record
of managing telecommunications infrastructure and services.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, including traditional phone systems, VoIP, and
video conferencing technologies.
- Familiarity with networking principles, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and LAN/WAN configurations, to
support telecommunications needs.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting telecommunications hardware and software issues, such as PBX
systems and VoIP protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex
telecommunications problems.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating strong communication and
interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing telecommunications projects from inception to completion, ensuring
on-time delivery and successful implementation.
